In November 2015, the project held a symposium at the Royal Society on The End of the Scientific Journal? Transformations in Publishing 1800-2015.
Following on from this symposium, papers and analysis pieces have been published as a special issue of Notes and Records: The Royal Society Journal of the History of Science. (Volume 70, Issue 4) entitled Science Periodicals in the Nineteenth and Twenty-First Centuries.
